Irritating something in the back of my nasal passage - ideas?

A few weeks ago I had a really bad weekend. Throat felt swollen, it hurt to swallow and I had a two-day fever. I'm sure that I had strep, although I took throat cultures on the following Wednesday revealed nothing. Sore throat lasted about a week and a half after that horrible weekend, which is longer than usual lasting pain in the neck for me, and now my nerves trs ... something (phlegm, I'm thinking?), in the back of my nasal passages, which I can not snork away, and that - breathing just right - I snore. It is the mucus that I need to worry about, or it may be a bit limp skin caused by swelling of the neck over that one weekend, or what? We apologize for the horrible details, but I'm afraid - symptoms of what I that weekend the gap to about two or three weeks, which is unheard of for my body. I was afraid would be?

Think that you should get some nasal spray saline solution and there. Humidity should help it come out, what it is. BTW, I like your word - Snork. It is very accurate and concise. My wife has her own word for the feeling that you get when you think you have a sneeze, But you never do. He says he has "sneezle" in the nose.
