What do other doctors do when you're on call?
I always thought that because me and my roommate both work on call quite regularly. While working in Trauma Surgery, and working on infectious diseases (and more) in Critical Care. And all we ever seem to do is to stay awake. Since both the trauma surgeon, most of his patients are going to end in my care, but we do not have much sleep. Especially because I'm a long-term insomnia, and he is hyperactive. So we must be awake and talk to patients that can not sleep, usually pre-surgery patients. So the question is. Besides sleep, what other doctors are on call?
You have to be shot. Twice last week, I never got a chance to eat until my shift was done the next morning.
